Nice prosecutor Jean-Michel Pretre said the truck drove two kilometres (1.3 miles) through a large crowd that was watching the fireworks.

Cinq suspects, en contact avec le tueur avant l'attentat de Nice, ont été mis en examen jeudi soir par des juges antiterroristes et placés en détention provisoire, a indiqué le parquet de Paris.
