An aerial view taken on November 1, 2016 in Calais shows a crane working in the settlement known as the "Jungle" Calais migrant camp after a massive operation to clear the settlement. French authorities on October 31 were clearing the last shacks in the Calais "Jungle", signalling the end of the notorious camp, as attention turned to the thousands of migrants sleeping rough in Paris. The authorities have said that nothing will be left of the notorious Jungle, home to around 6,000 migrants until a week ago, by the evening of October 31. The lettering on the caravan reads 'Lieu de vie' - 'place of life'.
